UNIQ Snowsports are excited to announce the new addition to our winter programme will include bespoke Performance Training Camps purely for adults. Our aim is to deliver courses with a broad spectrum which covers all areas for aspiring snowsport professionals. As a club, we strive to ensure our camps are inclusive as possible and can cater for any age, gender or ability level. Groups will be carefully selected to ensure maximum class activity throughout the days. These performance camps are perfect for any adult that is either working their way through instructor courses or for adult skiers just looking to fine tune their skiing and improve their mountain awareness skills.

WHAT’S INVOLVED?

UNIQ Snowsports will deliver professional and structured performance training sessions which are focused around all mountain skill development. The camps will consist of 5 - 6 hours on skis per day focusing on a variety of types of skiing. Our days will consist of technical development on-piste and off-piste including any variable terrain e.g. moguls/bumps, powder and much more. Video analysis and workshop PowerPoints will also be amongst the days for extra in-depth coaching. We will also cover Mountain Safety, which is incredibly important to the safety of ourselves and others. This will include how to use a Transceiver, Probe and Shovel and most effective techniques, as well as develop an understanding on how to deal with bad weather and any obstacles one might find themselves up against. If trainees are already familiar with the use of off-piste safety equipment, we will endeavour to recap your knowledge and also develop you individually with more advanced mountain safety.

To ensure group dynamics and professionalism is achieved, group sizes will be a maximum of 7-1. Ski prep and equipment management is an important factor of becoming a ski professional, so tuning lessons will be available to those that would like to participate. We are more than happy to assist with correct guidance on equipment that will be beneficial to you. Coaches will always be on hand to provide help and assistance in the ski room. To end the week, coaches will provide each trainee with a detailed camp report outlining strengths, weaknesses and development points.
